National Tequila Day 2012

I am not speaking "ex cathedra" on this . This time it is just my personal opinion. People who drink vodka are tasteless,people who drink tequila have bad taste. Probably many of you were raised without father figures who could have taught you how to drink like adults. I see young people drinking stuff like vodka and Perrier, rootbeer schnapps, and "pounding" sloe gin. I see tequila drinkers with their lime and salt. I see lime flavored beer. WTF? Ya'll could save money by buying 190 Proof pure grain alcohol and cutting it in half with something that you like,perhaps koolaid. Someday when you grow into adulthood, you may learn to like whisky. Bonded Bourbon is the drink for me,except on March 17,when I drink "Red Breast".

This comment which I quoted is wrong on several levels. Stating ones opinion as an absolute fact is arrogant and condescending to to anyone who happens to have a different opinion. Navrat has obviously never had good tequila. I sip, shoot and drink tequila on the rocks and it is quite enjoyable if not downright delicious! And citrus and salt is not used to "mask" the flavor but rather to enhance it....in my opinion!

Tequila tastes bad. It actually stinks. I stay away from anything that requires the masking of its taste with citrus,salt or over refrigeration(like Jag). One wonders why any German would drink that stuff when so much great beer is available to them. A good drink ,like a piece of good beef should be able to stand on its own. Bourbon.
