The Brown County Sherriff has made nine more arrests in a massive drug bust which made headlines last week.
Some 41 people face 100 total felony charges as part of an ongoing undercover investigation which was announced on October 26th. Detectives say the group was involved in the illegal sale of prescription drugs like oxycodone and oxycotin.
Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that nine additional suspects have been apprehended on various drug trafficking charges over the past week. One of the suspects, 36 year old Heather Newman, was arrested in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was transported back to the Brown County Adult Detention Center.
The others are:
*39 year old Donald Boone of Aberdeen, charged with 2 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs w/Specifications.
*21 year old James Helterbrand of Tollsboro, KY, charged with 3 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs.
*35 year old Morgan Ames of Cincinnati, charged with 3 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs w/ Specifications.
*45 year old Pete Napier of Blanchester, charted with 1 Ct Agg. Trafficking Drugs w/ Specifications.
*21 year old Tiffany Hook of Tollsboro, KY, charged with 3 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs
*45 year old Jon Merrill of Aberdeen, charged with 2 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs w/ Specifications.
*60 year old Myrtle Strange of Aberdeen, charged with 2 cts Agg. Trafficking Drugs w/ Specifications.
*48 year old Ron Sherman of Cincinnati, charged with one cts. Trafficking Drugs.
