(AP) - A 15-year-old southeastern Ohio boy missing since Thursday has been found dead from an apparent hit-and run incident.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office said Austin Houser's body was found in a roadside ditch Saturday night. Deputies believe he was struck by a vehicle that then fled. Authorities say they have recovered the vehicle they suspect was involved and were working with the prosecutor's office on the investigation.

The Columbus Dispatch reports a school bus driver said he dropped off the boy at his house after school on Thursday.

Logan is about 55 miles southeast of Columbus.

Cincy, the car was probably stolen. Hope the boy didn't suffer for two days. That ditch must have been on a road that's not travled very often for someone not to see him before then.

The VIN and forensic evidence from the car may help track down the driver.
