A funeral in Egypt turned to joy when the 'dead' man being mourned woke up just before his funeral.
The body of Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, a waiter from Naga al-Simmanm, was being prepared for burial when the doctor who was to sign the death certificate discovered the body was warm, according to "The Daily Mail" a British newspaper.
The doctor checked the waiter's vital signs and found he was breathing, according to the Mail. Hamdi's mother fainted when she learned he was alive, the Mail reports.
Rather than cancel the funeral, mourners turned the party into a celebration of Mr al-Nubdi's 'resurrection'.
Hamdi had been pronounced dead after doctors said he suffered a heart attack on the job.
