Cincinnati Police have filed murder charges against a man who alleged stabbed an East Price Hill woman and her 12 year old daughter to death on Wednesday morning.  35 year old Brian Everett is accused of killing 39 year old Nicole Smith and her daughter, 12 year old Stephanie Smith.

Cincinnati Police were called to The Elberon Garden Apartments at 530 Woodlawn Avenue around 6:15 Tuesday morning by Everett, who told 911 dispatchers that he'd cut someone.  He went on to say that he'd gotten drunk, came home and got into fight with Smith.

Everett told the 911 operator that he and the woman were swinging knives at each other and, at one point, the 12 year old girl stepped between them in an attempt to protect her mother.  Everett said that he had been stabbed but couldn't say where and when he was asked if he was responsible for stabbing the woman and the girl, he answered, "yes."

Everett was instructed to perform CPR on the 12 year old girl by the 911 dispatcher and did so, but told the dispatcher that she was not breathing. When paramedics arrived, they found the girl and her mother dead.

I feel so sorry to hear about another child being killed by some stupid, drunken idiot. And girl even tried to save her mother from being stabbed! What a loving daugther she must have been. This man deserves to be hanged. No, I'm not racist, before ibetcha says so. In fact, I'm surprised somebody would even say that was a racist remark. I don't care what color the murderer is -- as doomguy says "death by hanging."

@ibetcha - You are the one who brought color into this. Color doesn't matter. You murder, diddle kids or trade in pics of it, or do horrible things to children or the helpless, you should hang for it.

So very sad, crime can happen anywhere and sadly even at home, needless to say this is happening far to often, and call it what you will but price hill, east price hill, lower price hill, and state ave are not just getting a bad rap its dangerous, very violent and high crime no matter how someone words it. very sad to see these once beautiful areas declining so fast.
