Rohrer's Tavern in North Bend

A local restaurant is getting some time in the national spotlight.

The team from the Food Network's "Restaurant Impossible" came to Rohrer's Tavern last summer.

The episode featuring the restaurant will air on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Rohrer's is an icon in North Bend. It has been since it opened in 1948.

It's well known for its cod but also recently updated the menu to include items like steak-burger and pot roast hoagy.

What does Hooven have to do with North Bend? We like Rohrer's quite a bit. Have used the party room for family birthdays more than once. The cod IS very good. The fried chicken is delicious and the beer cheese soup is to die for. 418 Three Rivers Parkway (U.S. 50) near Shady Lane.

King's Inn food in Hooven Ohio is much, much better than Rohrer's. Even though Rohrer's has the same cod as King's inn since the owners of both restaurants were all related some years ago. I don't care what they do, because I will stick with King's Inn forever!!! Been going there for over 40 years, won't stop now!!
