I agree completely with Mr. Schu, but add I approve of the death penalty in this situation.

What a shame the cowardly thug Dewayne Shipp is still breathing. Now the taxpayers can be burdened for the care of this scumbag for the next 20 – 30 years. I am very sorry that Deputy Raikes did not survive. My deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Anthony Raikes. May he Rest in Peace. Thank God no one else was injured.

OK mythoughts, really. I was a police officer in KY for 12 years, so I too have the utmost respect for them. Just so no one out there thinks I was serious, I am not advocating the police take the law into there own hands. As many poster do, I was expressing frustration with terrible things that happen on a daily basis. I sometimes forget some people think because they see it on the internet it must be true.

@Voice of Reason, because Kentucky Sheriff are NOT crooked officers. Because they perform their job legally. I'm sure they are extremely upset and angry, but they have a professional job to do, unlike some corrupted deputies around the country. I think extremely highly of the Kentucky State Troopers as they literally saved my life on the highway.
