FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man who police say jumped out of a moving car in Fort Wayne while quarreling with the driver and was struck and killed by another vehicle.

The Journal Gazette and WPTA-TV report the Allen County coroner on Sunday identified the man as 25-year-old Richard John May of Bluffton. Bluffton is about 25 miles south of Fort Wayne.

Witnesses say the man jumped out of a Jeep and fell into the street, where he was struck by another car. Witnesses also told police the man had been arguing with the Jeep's driver before he jumped out.

May was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allen County Coroner has ruled his death an accident.

Police say the driver of the car that hit the man wasn't injured.

The man must have been pretty upset to jump from the car. What a shame he used bad judgement. RIP

I guess that's one way to stop an argument. The drver probably would've stoped the car if the rider would've told him to.
