Officials are already reporting a record turnout this morning at the polls in Northern Kentucky.
At Bellevue Veteran's Hall in Northern Kentucky, there are more than 1,200 registered voters. As of 8 a.m., they had roughly 160 voters show up to cast ballots. To put that in perspective, only 100 voters total turned out for the primary election earlier this year.
Boone County is also seeing heavy voter turnout."We have some people waiting in line as early as 5:15 this morning," said Kenny Brown, Boone County Clerk. One of clerks in Brown's office said "phones were ringing off the hook. We are busy, busy, busy."
A 75 percent turnout is expected today.
Polls in Kentucky and Indiana will be open until 6 p.m.
Polls in Ohio will stay open until 7:30 p.m.
