Kenton County Police say a man and his two children were injured on Thursday morning in a crash on Kenton Station Road near Independence.
23 year old Michael Pompilio of Hebron was delivering newspapers around 6:45 a.m. When he lost control and struck a tree on a curve. His two children where in the car.
Pompilio's five year old son was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital with a head injury. Police say he was wearing a seat belt but the seat was reclined and for his size, officers say he should have been in a booster seat.His condition is not known.
Pompilio's infant daughter was in a car seat and was taken Children's Hospital as a precaution.
