I feel to REESY and GOLDEN LOVE ECONOMYSTIC think before you speak. This man was my first cousin and your ignorant comments were very offensive.Nobody says how MY COUSIN graduated the top 10 of his class, active member in church, helped Katrina victims, had full time employment at the time of his death,no kids. You only hear what the media tells you, so why be so quick to judge? Never was my cousin a thug, can you say diploma and degree? People talk about others 1.IGNORANT,2not happy.Worry about when you pass how many people will say positeve things about you.Im glad my cousin is in heaven and not living here with ignorant, cold hearted, racist, lost, fools, stupid, people like yourselfs, you should be ashamed.Thats typical that people READ BOOKS BY COVERS instead of knowing the whole story.

ANOTHER "victim" who is posing in a mug shot??!!! Condolences to the grieving family, but I refuse to feel bad when another thug is off the street.

My deepest condolences go out to the family for their loss. But when a man chooses to live a dangerous lifestyle death comes with it sometimes.

killer caught = 2fer! However, if sherrif lies would have opened up those TWO floors of jail cells maybe people like derden would have been in jail where he belonged and not on the street dealing drugs and getting shot and killed.

To the Derden Family: So earnestly I yearn to have this reality be different than what I wake up to. The anguish we as a society put upon eachother through our deeds & words is abhorrent. To banish into nothingness the grief that plagues us, and the negativity that tries to drown out the Lord's light in us would be a true utopia. I send up prayers and cry tears of sorrow for what I wish "could be" for all of us but isn't. Not today and maybe not tomorrow but soon enough you will be able to rejoice again and shout praises up which is a smack in the face to evil. Keep faith in that there is mercy and a promise of everlasting love & peace for all of us. To N.D-T.: I'm deeply saddened by your grief of a loved-one lost old friend, for as sure as I knew your beloved little brother and know you, I know this pain upon you now is not deserved. May The Lord Bless and Keep you all. xoxo

JazzS123, It's hard for those of us who don't live a life of criminal behavior to sympathise with those who do. These murders are the norm for people who choose that life. I know I seem insensitive to your feelings but I assure you I am sorry for your loss. I hope his family finds peace also and I hope some good can come out of another senseless murder.

While I agree about the stupid comments, you resort to name calling. If you want to know what he's been up to the last few years, read his arrest record. May his family find peace.
