Fair enough corndog, but the rest remains true. If UC had been invited to one of the big conferences he'd be talking about how exciting it is. Only because they were left out does he pretend its about student athletes. It's sour grapes, and entirely transparent. Oh, and it being about money is hardly evil. That's money that university's use to fund other sports and give those kids opportunities while also making the schools better overall. Heck at UMD alone, their bankrupt athletic dept is being saved by the move to the B1G. It's going to allow them not to have to disband numerous sports and to continue providing those scholarships to kids they were going to have to otherwise stop. That evil money is going to do a lot of good for a lot of kids, and if UC had gotten in on it, it'd be a thrill rather than the shrill we're getting.

Well said bearcat811. I am so sick and tired of hearing Mick whine about every little call against his team and how they are getting screwed on the conference shuffle! If the ACC would of picked Cincinnati over Louisville, he would of said what a great opportunity this is for the Bearcats!

Yet if UC had been invited to the Big 10, SEC or Big 12, they'd have jumped in a heartbeat and he'd be talking about how thrilled he is. This is just frustration that they're the ones being left out and knowing it will be harder for him to have success in what amounts to a mid-major conference. Did he cry when UC left the C-USA for the Big East? Nope, because he was upgrading. Now that he's being forcefully downgraded, he wants to have a hissy fit.

Madison avenue suits have ruined college sports..The rivalries are unimportant, unless the market share is high..Too bad..College sports, and the historic cross town, cross state, and cross conference battles will be forsaken for the "chaching"...
