Another tragic example of nothing good happens after midnight. My condolences to Mr. Walker's family. The only time it's safe for a designated driver is when the other occupants are sleeping it off. Nobody expects to see a pedestrian trying to cross the highway at 2:00AM.

Crossing I-71 on foot at 2:00 AM is not a good idea. Leaving the scene isnt either.

They should have plastered the pictures of the four occupants all over the news and I'm sure someone would have come forward with info on where they were 'partying' at. If it was a local establishment then maybe video surveillance could have proven that they were indeed drunk as i and many others figure they were. No other reason to ditch the car and hide if they wasn't. No insurance is weak compared to leaving the seen. Wouldn't be surprised if the female didn't take responsibility for her mans actions. Don't know to many men that let their girl drive if they're present, just saying.

I read the title of the article and all I could think was......tips....Hmmmm! Here's a tip. I'll bet the guy tipped too much and had to walk to his destination which landed him on the interstate at 2am. Tipped his gas money to the tender.
