As a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. I would like to say thank you to all who voted for issue 1. The thought is deeply apprciated that you feel we veterans of the Gulf War and the current war on terror deserve a monetary bonus. Having said that I myself voted no on that issue. As much as getting a few hundred dollars extra will be nice, our state is already in the red. We do not need to go deeper in debt. Perhaps sometime in the future would have been better when the economy is doing better. Again thank you all, I just wish the issue had not passed.
