A man has been arrested in Chicago in connection with the murder of a Russian immigrant in Deerfield Township.
You may recall Aleksander Alferov's remains were found in a wooded area in 2007. A cabbie working a suburb of Chicago has been arrested for his murder.
Alferov had a successful cleaning business in Roselawn when he disappeared in 2000. When his remains were found, police said used his $11,000 in gold dental work and DNA from his sister in Russia to positively identify him.
Alferov was beaten to death... and there were rumors his death was connected to the Russian mob. Alferov was not a mobster...but the mob is believed to be responsible for his murder.
