Greensboro, NC (WFMY-TV)-- A billboard prominently displayed on one of the busiest streets in Greensboro is yet again turning heads and this time with a new message.
It all started yesterday when a message from a scorned wife appeared on the billboard for her husband.
But now a new billboard only one day after the first, appears with a new message: "Jessica -- Meet me at Yodaddy's at 7:00 p.m. for some wine therapy. --Jennifer"
The original billboard read: "Michael -- GPS tracker -- $250, Nikon camera with zoom lens -- $1,600, catching my LYING HUSBAND and buying this billboard with our investment account -- Priceless. Tell Jessica you're moving in! -- Jennifer"
We don't know who Michael is. We don't know who Jessica is. And we don't know who Jennifer is. In fact, we don't know if they exist. Some are now saying that this could be a publicity stunt.
Greensboro residents are curious. "I thought it was kind of ingenious, then I was wondering if it was actually real," said Wil Gibbs. "I'm not sure if it was somebody actually doing it, but if it is, she got him."
"I don't know if it's true or not, but it kind of makes me laugh...if it's true, it also makes me kind of sad. But it's clever," said Annie Roberts.
"I actually had a friend of mine send it to me on Facebook earlier today, and I was on my way over here to meet some friends and I thought I'd take a good look at it for myself when I got here," said James Bohannon.
"I think that Michael has a tough couple of weeks coming," said Gibbs.
So if it is true, what was Jennifer thinking? Dr. Nannette Funderburk said assuming this is a real situation, it's all about power through exposure. "She possibly felt pretty betrayed by this. We don't know all the details of what was going on, but betrayal is a strong emotion. And when you feel betrayed, that thought of vengeance comes back. I want to be able to get my power back," said Funderburk.
Billboards typically cost somewhere between $2,000 and $2,200 a month for one side. This message from Jennifer is on both sides of the billboard.
Elon Law School assistant professor Enrique Armijo said Jennifer can't be sued by anyone mention in the ad. "So basically, I think this ad is very clever and it may have been written, with the assistance of an attorney," said Armijo.
