A voicemail leads to a Campbell County father's arrest. He's accused of trying to sell his daughter's prescription drugs.

Ronald Wooding left a voicemail at a pharmacy to get Adderall. but he forgot to hang-up his cell phone so police have a recording of his plan to deal the drugs. Local 12's Angela Ingram looked into how the drug investigation led to four children being removed from Wooding's home.

Police went to his Bellevue home to talk with him about the recorded message. They say the inside of the home on Berry Avenue is invested with roaches - and the conditions are so bad that the family can't live there anymore.

Wooding allegedly called Health Point in Bellevue to get the prescriptions filled. Says Detective John McClain, "Mr. Wooding believed that he hung up his phone which he did not and he left on the voicemail there at the office after he got done putting in the order for prescriptions, he was heard talking to his wife setting up how he intended to sell the prescription medications."

Police say Wooding made specific plans to sell his daughter's Adderall - thirty pills for $120.

When police went to question Wooding on Tuesday - Child Protective Services took the kids. They range in age from 18-months to 17-years-old. The house was condemned. "Dirty, there were bugs, animal feces on the floor in several different areas, cockroaches were observed crawling on the crib where the 18- month-old child was sleeping."

Wooding was also charged with having marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in the house. Investigators say it's not everyday - they catch a suspect who leaves an incriminating voicemail. "I have kids of my own and just to think that people can allow children to live that way or to steal their medication and sell it for their own benefit is just really sickening."

Wooding's wife was also charged with trafficking. Police are trying to find out who may have bought pills off Wooding in the past.

It's a good thing he's an idiot or he might not have ever gotten caught and those kids would still be living that way.

$3000 bond for being a dealer... Maybe it was reduced because he didn't allow his daughter to take the Adderall herself, being the good parent he was...This case sounds pathetic. Spay and neutering should be first on the agenda. Those poor kids..
