it's business...and JUST sports...so what. Someone leaves Cincy for something better? Old news.

"Business" was the death of competitive sports.

Cincy84 I would be cool with Hugh Jackson. hermom Uc is not a major level D1? The Big East (such as it is) is a major D1 division so I would have to disagree.

Thanks coach and good luck at UT! Next man up for UC, rumor has it, Hugh Jackson interviewed for the HC job at UC before Brian Kelly, I'd say re-interview the man! Bring on HUGH!!

how can you be mad at someone for wanting to have a better life for himself and his family, bigger and better job, means bigger and better money, plus maybe even a shot at the NFL. Congrats coach !! GOOD LUCK.

kerry coombs is not anywhere ready to be a head college football coach. I agree W Trent. Face it, there are lower level colleges (D3 and D2) and you can move up to a mid level college (UC/Dayton/Miami/Kent/Bowling Green) and then there is Major D1 (Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida, Nebraska, Ohio State. ECT) Uc is not a major level D1 so their coaches do not stay around. That's not a slam to UC, I have had two kids go thru that school. Its a great school.

Kerry Coombs you dummies. He is not ready to be a head coach at this level or maybe he is, since UC cannot fill the stadium and really has no conference to play in. Cincinnati does not support any of their sports teams, Pro or College!
