Because no one wants to look tired on their wedding day, there's a trend toward holding such parties a weekend or two before the wedding. Make the event memorable by personalizing it to reflect the guest of honor. For example, if he or she is a sports fan or music buff, choose an event that's related to their interest. Or, you might tie the party theme to their honeymoon destination: for those headed to Hawaii, throw an outdoor luau. Another fun and safe option is to rent a bus or trolley for transportation. That way, everyone can travel together to the restaurant, bars, or other destination, with no worry about drinking and driving.
