A florist can be of great help in choosing the best flowers for the style and color scheme of your wedding. This is expecially true of a creative florist who specializes in weddings. To locate a good florist, get recommendations from friends, your caterer, the hotel, or restaurant, and start interviewing florists at least two or three months in advance. Ask to look at pictures of other weddings they have done and discuss with them the type of wedding you plan to have. It's especially helpful if they are familiar with the location where you will be having the ceremony. Once you have decided on a florist, it is important to go over the details with him or her. It is best to be prepared; have your budget in mind, as well as swatches of fabric you're planning to use, a list of your favorite flowers, and pictures of the type of look you want. Flowers that will be in season at the time of your wedding will be easier to get and less costly. With hothouse growing and shipping by air, you can get almost anything you want, but it will be more expensive than using local, seasonal flowers. For additional information, please consult a florist in your area.
