When registering at a store, you may want to choose one that has branches in areas where the majority of your friends and relatives live. Because many stores use computers, gifts can be bought at any one of their locations, and most fine china and department stores offer free bridal registry. You may choose to register at more than one store. To avoid getting duplicate gifts, don't register for the same items at different stores. If there is an overlap in some areas, notify the store as soon as you receive the gift. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to make your registry selection. Take a notepad and pencil and go window shopping. If your fiance doesn't like to shop, you may want to bring him back for the final approval. Your registry consultant can be very helpful. Ask about demonstrations and special sales coming up. You may want to choose items in a varied price range, so that all of your friends and family can find something they can afford. Keep your check list. Once the gifts are received, you can mark them off. For more information, contact a wedding specialist.
