In most Christian and Reformed Jewish weddings the clergyman will stand at the front of the church with the groom and the best man to the right of him. In some cases, the clergyman walks before the groom and best man down the aisle. The processional is then led by the ushers, in order of height, followed by the bridesmaids, either singly or in pairs. The maid of honor is next, followed by the flower girl and ringbearer. The bride and her father enter the church last. In Orthodox or Conservative Jewish weddings the processional order is a little different. The ushers precede down the aisle followed by the best man. The groom is next with his mother on the right side and his father on the left. The bridesmaids are followed by the maid of honor. The bride is then escorted down the aisle with her mother on her right and her father on her left. If there are a ringbearer and flower girl, they precede the bride. The recessional order is led by the newlyweds, followed immediately by the bridal party, the bride's parents and then the groom's parents. The bridal party usually walks out in the opposite order that they entered. The ringbearer and flower girl are followed by the best man and maid of honor.
