Nannies were once an option only for the very wealthy, but are now gaining in popularity in middle-class families. Often, nannies have specialized education in children's care, nutrition, and health. Some parents prefer live-in nannies, while others enjoy the privacy of a nanny maintaining a separate residence. In either case, nannies generally enjoy relatively higher salaries than daycare workers or family daycare providers. If you're considering employing a nanny, you may be able to attract a well-qualified, loving professional by offering a benefits package in addition to generous pay.
