A basic and necessary precaution for stopping the spread of germs is hand-washing. Regularly washing hands with warm water and soap, and then drying with a sanitary towel can eliminate germs and bacteria. Child caregivers work among a host of these invisible foes, braving diaper changes, wiping runny noses, and receiving hugs from children who've explored the playground thoroughly. Caregivers should wash their hands regularly to prevent the spread of germs. A child's immune system is trained through multiple illnesses to fight disease. While this'll benefit them as they grow older, it means a sufficient number of illnesses must be experienced to build their immunity. While it's important to make sure a center is clean, it's normal for children to catch several communicable diseases while attending daycare. One way to minimize this is for parents and caregivers to teach children to wash their hands correctly. In addition to using warm soap and water, remind kids to wash to right above their wrists, and on the fronts and backs of hands. Reinforcement of this procedure at home and at daycare can help your child develop the healthy habit of hand-washing.
