Here's an idea for custom gift wrap. Buy a roll of white shelf paper and a big package of stickers and let younger children decorate the paper with stickers. A slightly messier idea is to set out a little saucer of paint and some cookie cutters. The children dip the cutters in the paint and then on the paper, like a stamp. Older kids can use more elaborate techniques. They may want to attempt 'tie-dye' paper. To do this, they'll need some white tissue paper and food coloring. Fold the tissue paper in different ways, such as a circular shape, and dip it into the food coloring. After the paper dries unfold it and you have wrapping paper which looks like a tie-dyed T-shirt. Here's one more idea-- tear up some colored tissue paper and let the kids glue the pieces on the heavy aluminum foil. When it dries, the children can wrap the present themselves, and they won't need to use any tape. Family members may love the wrapping as much as the gift.
