Veterinarians

Animal hospital assistants
If you've always enjoyed being around animals, but don't have the time or inclination to earn a veterinary degree, you might consider a career as an animal hospital assistant.
Educational requirements
A considerable amount of time and education is required to become a licensed veterinarian, including attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in an undergraduate program, attending a veterinary medical school, and passing a licensure exam.
Veterinarian profession
A veterinarian holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary medical school. In general, veterinarians are trained to diagnose disease, predict outcomes, prescribe necessary treatment, and perform surgery on animals.
Veterinary educational costs
The cost of obtaining a veterinary degree can be substantial. Typically, students must complete about three to four years of undergraduate classes before being qualified to apply to a veterinary school.
Veterinary medicine employment outlook
The job outlook for most areas of veterinary medicine is expected to be fairly good. Experts predict that veterinary employment will grow faster than the average of all other occupations through the year 2006 (two thousand six).

Don't Forget Your Tags!

In Ohio, all dogs over three months of age must be registered (licensed) with the county auditor. The licensing of any dog residing in Hamilton County can be completed by using this mail-in form or by visiting any one of a number of convenient licensing agents. If you and your pet live outside of Hamilton County, please contact your local auditor's office for information.

Dog licensing is much more than a law you need abide by. The tags and the identification number they contain could also help return your prized pet to you should he or she become lost!
