that almost sounds like a wild dog, like the ones that run around the hills and woods in kentucky. dangerous creatures who need to be put down as quickly as possible.

This poor dog needs to be HUMANELY EUTHANIZED. If he was a fighting dog, no doubt he's been abused. The last human this dog needs to look in the eyes of is that of a Veterinarian & not the barrel of a shotgun, rifle or hand gun. Please show this poor dog some compassion, not cold~blooded callousness.

It's a shame that this dog's owner put him out in the street -- for whatever reason. He sounds like a sick dog, a starving dog and he needs to be put down by the next person who sees him. Then find the owner, if possible and put him in a cell for a long time. Whoever the owner is, they are lazy and good for nothing. He may be one of those that are used in fighting. Never know. If he lost a fight the owner probably beat him and put him in the street to take care of himself. No matter, he needs to be put out of his misery.

So true, Rosey. Some people shouldn't have pets, and they sure shouldn't have kids.

I jog with a Glock. I walk my dog with a Glock. I mow the lawn with a Glock. y dog does not leave my electric fence yard unless ON AL LEASH. I will not hesitate to " Glock" another dog. Anyone who owns a dog over 15 pounds and lets them out without a leash, unsupervised ( I am not talking about poodles, lap/yak dogs, ec..) because they are too lazy to take out the dog, better not complain when "Happy" gets shot coming after me or my dog..IfI shoot an attacking dog nothing would make me feel better than seeing the owner grieving over the loss of their "pet". BTW tif I make a "mistake" the most I might be liable for is the actual fair market value of the dog, which in most cases is about the cost of a box of ammo.

Not all pit bulls are vicious. Many people breed, train and or treat them bad to be vicious. Like people some are good and some are bad by nature; but for the most part are a product of their environment. Some people have rehabilitated dogs that were used in fights. Some of the posts here are the equivalent of racism. To assume all pit bulls are bad, is like assuming all black people are bad. Shame on you. Some pit bulls can be very loving, tender, and stable.

discgolfdc - 6:13 AM- You state, "Your name should be wingNUT, rather than wingdo." That's fine. You can call me as you wish, but I'll tell you this, if any dog bigger than a a beagle challenges me it'll be dead before it hits the ground! Your probably one of those ice cream lickers that believe I'll grow up to be an axe murderer for killing a damn dog, and that is up to you, but me and mine have lived this long because I err on the side of caution, eliminate the threat (if possible) and I'm not sorry for it. Now if you want a pit bull then have at it, but don't leave it in my area w/o a leash or you'll be picking it up with a shovel.

@discgolfdc, when is the last time you heard of a poodle, or cocker spaniel, or Irish Setter...or even a Doberman, for that matter...chasing after people who are walking down the street and attacking them? Yeah, that's what I thought. Pit bulls are vicious dogs, period. The government may say otherwise, but until I hear multiple stories of joggers and their dogs being attacked by a Golden Retriever or Saint Bernard or Great Dane, I'm standing firm with my belief.

It is legal in Ohio to kill an attacking dog even if it has not reached you yet. If it is charging, you do not know if it is after you or your pet. Kill it and save the entire neighborhood from future grief. Oh and if it bites you the owners of it is automatically liable for your injuries.

Why do you people expect these owners to take care of their animals when they won't even take care of their kids?
