Eight local men face charges following a bear poaching investigation in West Virginia.

Conservation officers apprehended the men in Nicholas County for using bait to lure black bear into areas where they could be shot from elevated and camouflaged stands.

Wildlife officers say the group had been engaging in the activity for several years.

The following men were charged/cited:
