Nutrition In Animals

Adult cats
Feed your cat an adequate amount of a good quality prepared cat food and the chances are excellent that that is all he or she will need. Unless your cat is underweight, do not worry if the bowl is not emptied daily.
Adult dogs
To maintain your adult dog's good health, you need to feed it a complete and balanced diet. Such a diet should provide protein from meat and bone meal to help build and maintain strong muscles, whole-grain carbohydrates for energy, and fiber for good body condition and stamina.
Older pets
Once a pet reaches about seven years old, it is considered to be geriatric and requires special attention, including a dietary change. Diet changes are especially important because the kidneys in older animals often become less effective and lose some of their ability to process waste materials.
Under one year
When you feed your puppy or kitten, you need to supply all the nutrition they need to grow healthy and strong: *Extra protein for strong muscles and a healthy coat.

Don't Forget Your Tags!

In Ohio, all dogs over three months of age must be registered (licensed) with the county auditor. The licensing of any dog residing in Hamilton County can be completed by using this mail-in form or by visiting any one of a number of convenient licensing agents. If you and your pet live outside of Hamilton County, please contact your local auditor's office for information.

Dog licensing is much more than a law you need abide by. The tags and the identification number they contain could also help return your prized pet to you should he or she become lost!
