Scuba diving is a safe and enjoyable sport when the correct safety procedures are known and followed. That is why completing a scuba diving certification course is required before a person can dive. In addition, there are some basic diving safety tips that everyone interested in diving should know. You should have proper diver training by an accredited diver school and be proficient in diving skills before scuba diving. You should be physically fit, in good health, and feeling well during the dive. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is recommended, and you should practice these techniques in diving situations. Maintain your equipment properly and make sure that everything is in good working condition. When getting ready to dive, know the dive area and have a plan. And last but not least, you should dive with a buddy. Do not try to dive alone or swim away from your partner. Diver safety and rescue courses are widely taught and offer excellent training in special procedures for diver rescue. For more information on diving safety, ask your diving instructor or professional diving retailer.
