Owning a pool increases the need for additional equipment to properly maintain it. Whether you have an above ground or inground pool, you'll most likely have a skimmer, filter, and pump, which make up your filtration system. The pump circulates the water through the skimmer and filter forcing the water back into the pool. The skimmer strains large floating debris like leaves and insects, while the filter sifts out the smaller debris and dirt. If you wish to use your pool for extended seasonal use, then the addition of a heater may help. This will maintain a comfortable water temperature, for cooler days and nights. Once debris settles at the pool bottom you may need the aid of a vacuum or automatic cleaner to remove it from the water. Brushes lift the settled debris back into water suspension and allow the filtration system to remove the loose particles. Contact your local pool distributor for more information.
