You expect your carpet or flooring to last for many years, so it's a good idea to have it installed by a company with a good service record. Ask friends or co-workers for recommendations. Most reputable companies guarantee their work and stand behind the products they sell. Be sure to ask about guarantees on installation as well as the manufacturer's warranty on the product. When new carpet is installed, it should be stretched properly to avoid buckling. A high-quality, high-density padding is also important to make the carpet more comfortable and more durable. Among other floor coverings, the chief hazard in installing wood flooring is high humidity or water, which can cause the wood to warp. When installing ceramic tiles, make sure you begin with a strong, dry, level surface. For sheet vinyl installation, most professionals use a one-hundred-and-50 pound roller to assure good adhesion. For more information on service and installation, visit a reputable carpet or flooring dealer.
