Window treatments can improve the decor of any room. The most popular treatments are called framing windows. They involve top treatments with a type of fabric that is draped across the top and fitted along the sides of the window. The window appears to be framed because the fabric is not used in the middle. For privacy, blinds or pleat shades may be added to cover the glass portion of the window. Another new look in window treatments often includes rods paired with soft, unstructured fabrics. The rods incorporate a framed look as the fabric goes around the frame and drapes over the rods. You may also use wood poles that can be finished with different patterns and have fabric draped around them. For the draped look of rods without using rods, there are tulip shaped decorative holders can be placed in the middle and at the two outer sides of the top of the frame. The number of window treatments you can add to your home is only limited by your imagination. Don't be afraid to try some unconventional window treatments. Many decorating experts are doing showrooms with mixed textures, styles, fabrics, and even objects. For more information on decorative window treatments, contact an expert in home improvement.
