Just make sure your laptop has a P-C modem slot and that you have a P-C modem card. Other than that, all you need is a simple data cable to hook your phone up to your computer. Even though not all cellular phone providers can currently offer you this option, there's even newer technology where you can access e-mail from wherever you are without dialing up and requesting it like conventional e-mail. Users are given a special address where they can have electronic mail sent. Any e-mail received at this address is processed and forwarded to the screen of their phone.
