To locate a particular web site or sites on a specific topic, use a Search Engine. In your Internet browser, type in the address of a Search Engine; for example, www-dot-yahoo-dot-com', 'www-dot-altavista-dot-com', 'www-dot-excite-dot-com', or 'www-dot-hotbot-dot-com'. Bookmarking search engines can allow you to easily return to them. Click on the search criteria box, and type some key words for what you want to find; for example, 'book astronomy'. The Search Engine will return a list of web sites, with a brief description of each one. Clicking on the name of the web site will take your browser to that particular site. If it's not what you're looking for, you can click on the back button of your browser to return to the Search Engine, and try clicking on a different web site. If the list of web sites is very long, or you don't find what you're looking for in the first few web listings, try adding more key words to your search criteria; for example, 'book astronomy planet mineral'.
