The first step in getting onto the internet is to find yourself an internet service provider. New computers often come equipped with software for connecting to one or more internet services. Most of these offer a thirty day free trial. This will give you a chance to sample the internet and decide whether you like that service or want to try another. Once you get connected in this way, you can use the internet to shop for a better deal. If you don't have built-in software, you'll have to find a provider the old fashioned way. Ads in newspapers or computer magazines can help. So can the Yellow Pages. Once you've chosen the provider you want, give them a call. They'll send you a C-D or floppy disks that will walk you through the setup process. Once you're connected, you can use your browser to explore all the Web has to offer.
