In addition to helping you find web pages, most search engines also allow you to find people. It's like having thousands of phone books on hand that you can look through whenever you want, except that you can find the person you're looking for in a matter of seconds. From the search engine's home page, choose 'people finder' or 'white pages.' Different search engines will ask you for different information. They'll all require a last name, of course. The first name may not be required, but the more precise your entry, the better your chances of finding the right person. You might be asked for city and state. If you're trying to find an e-mail address, there might be a field for a domain name, like A-O-L dot com. Each search engine's people search works differently, so you might have to try several before you get the right results.
