If you're a business traveler, you may also want to consider supplementing your laptop or notebook computer with a palmtop to keep track of appointments, schedules, meetings, and deadlines. While there are numerous upgrades, add-ons, and accessories for portable computers, remember that the prime advantage of a portable computer is its portability, so you don't want to end up with more equipment than you can carry comfortably in your laptop's traveling case. When it comes to upgrades, you may be better off simply purchasing a top-of-the-line system that comes with lots of memory, hard-drive space, and all the other hardware you may require, rather than purchasing and carrying numerous external devices.
