The most reliable way to obtain a person's e-mail address is to ask him or her for it. If that is not possible, you may check some websites that have built up databases of e-mail addresses that you can search by name. However, most people are unlisted because they get their access through networks, and most networks do not reveal their users' names. You can list yourself by sending an e-mail request to info@is.internuc.net . You may write to the same address to have it removed if you would rather not have your address published. A program called Knowbot also exists that scans public databases for addresses. To use Knowbot, use Telnet and log into info.cnri.reston.us 185 . You may even find e-mail directories in bookstores that carry Internet related publications. For more information on locating e-mail addresses, please contact your local Internet service provider.
