A domain name is a human-readable address on the Internet; for example,'yahoo-dot-com.' Domain names allow people to go to a company's web site by typing the address into their Internet browser. You can get a domain name for you or your company. First you must find a domain name you want that hasn't already been taken by someone else. Then you must register that domain name so no one else can use it. Registering a domain name costs less than 100 dollars. Your Internet service provider can help you find a domain name and register it. After you have registered a domain name, you'll need to sign up for Domain Name Service from your Internet service provider in order to point your domain name at your web site.
