Re-entering the workforce may seem stressful, especially if you've been out of the workforce for a number of months or years. Once you decide to return, you'll want your new career to be one you enjoy. Be sure to evaluate the type of job and make sure it doesn't have potential drawbacks. Most employees are discovering the need to posess general skills that cross industry lines. Take time to evaluate the skills and knowledge you gained while you weren't working. These skills may be useful to prospective employers. You may've developed new interests that you want to incorporate into your new position. If your skills need updating, consider working for a temporary agency that offers training. A community college or technical school can also be a good skill building resource. Basic english or computer software classes will help increase your sellable talents. Keep in mind that an employer is hiring a full package. Remember to dress the part and learn 'how to' interview. Professionalism counts, so keep your business etiquette in mind.
