Less than ten percent of women are unaffected by a skin condition in which fluid retention, enlargement of fat cells, and loss of elasticity of the skin contribute to the development of, cellulite. The condition can be identified in areas of the body where fatty tissue tends most often to develop resulting in that 'clumpy' appearance in the skin. Due to the ever-changing hormonal environment of a woman's body, cellular activity often becomes sluggish and does not efficiently rid the tissue of waste products and excess fatty deposits. While a change of diet and a regular program of exercise can result in weight loss and muscle tone, cellulite can remain unaffected. This means that 90 percent of women can benefit from a treatment called endermologie (in-der-MAWL-uh-gee). Endermologie is the only FDA-approved treatment to effectively improve and, with regular maintenance treatments, prevent the return of this unsightly condition. The secret of the treatment's success is the use of a special tool that glides over the affected areas and delivers a relaxing gentle suction and roller massage to stimulate microcirculation in the skin. This causes cells to wake up and function more efficiently. In only twelve 35-minute treatments that cause no bruising or soreness, one can visibly see the improvement in skin texture and contour. Through a regular treatment program administered by a trained aesthetic technician, this improvement can be maintained and enjoyed.
