Lots of people are still interested in CBS' Person of Interest.

Despite competing against the World Series and the usual Thursday-night fare, the CBS drama drew 14 million viewers and rose 7 percent in the adults-18-to-49 demographic to score a 3.0, according to early Nielsen numbers. That was good enough to beat out ABC's Grey's Anatomy, which was down 12 and 15 percent, respectively, to 8.5 million viewers and a 2.9 in the demo.

10 Bubble Shows: Which will survive?

Coupling Person's good night with a steady The Big Bang Theory (15.4 million viewers, 4.8 in the demo) and Two and a Half Men (12. 9 million viewers, 3.7 in the demo), CBS won the night. Fox's coverage of the World Series came in second, according to early numbers, averaging 9.9 million viewers and a 2.7 in the demo.

Perhaps the most damaged by baseball was ABC's male-skewing Last Resort, which tumbled 24 percent to 6.5 million viewers and a series-low 1.3 in the demo.

NBC's comedy block was up across the board, though the numbers may be adjusted down because of local market NFL pre-emptions.
