Lo Truglio will appear in at least two episodes during November sweeps for a trial that was first referenced last season involving a multi-billion dollar corporation that polluted a lake. At the time, Cootes (Martin Short) accepted a $24,000 settlement from the corporation, angering Marshall (Jason Segel). Previously announced returning guest star Joe Manganiello will appear in the same episodes as well, reprising his role as Marshall's law school buddy Brad.

The gig will reunite Lo Truglio with Segel, with whom he appeared in I Love You, Man and Gulliver's Travels. He most recently played a nudist in Wanderlust.
