Hot on the heels of their sweep at the Emmys, Homeland producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa have sold an FBI drama to CBS, TVGuide.com has learned.

Anatomy of Violence — inspired by the soon-to-be-published non-fiction title The Anatomy of Violence: The Biological Roots of Crime by Adrian Raine — follows a female FBI agent who starts working with a mysterious psychiatrist with whom she shares a past connection.

Modern Family, Homeland top Emmy awards

The project, executive-produced and written by the Homeland duo, has been given a pilot-production commitment, meaning that the network would have to pay a sizable fee should they not make the pilot.

At the 2012 Emmys, Homeland collected six awards, including Outstanding Writing for a Drama series for Gordon and Gansa and Outstanding Drama Series, the first for a Showtime series.
