GERMANY - Where would you expect a stolen 44 pound golden cookie to turn up?
The key suspect in the odd case in Germany is the Cookie Monster. Or at least someone who dressed up like him.
The gilded cookie disappeared in early January from outside a cookie company is Hanover, Germany.
One of the city's newspapers received a photo from the alleged suspect and a ransom note spelling out two demands: a donation of chocolate cookies to the local children's hospital and a one-thousand euro donation to a local animal shelter.
Hanover Police are trying to figure out if the demands are serious.
