26 year old Sergeant David Kreuter died on August 3, 2005, one of 5 Tri-State Marines killed in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq.  Kreuter was one of 14 Marines from the Ohio-based 3rd Battalion 25th Marines killed in the attack.  5 men from the Tri-State died that day.

Kreuter left behind a wife and an infant son.  He was a 1997 graduate of Saint Xavier High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Criminal Justice.  He was active in Boy Scouts, played baseball and soccer and ran track.

His family says Kreuter decided to join the Marines during his senior year of high school.  He planned to make the military a career after his tour of duty in Iraq was over.

You're missed. You died to help make the world a better place, but without you, the family will always miss you and there is no way to fill that void.
