28-year-old Air Force Staff Sergeant Travis Griffin died on April 3, 2008 in central Baghdad. Griffin, whose parents live in Springboro, was killed when the vehicle he was riding in encountered an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 377th Security Forces Squadron, Kirtland AFB, N.M. Griffin was just 15 days away from ending his fourth term of active duty in Iraq.
