26 year old Army Specialist Ronnie Williams of Ryland Heights died July 17, 2005 while on tank patrol in Iraq.

Everyone knew Ronnie Williams as John Boy because of his resemblance to John Boy Walton.

Ronnie was a 1998 graduate of Simon Kenton High School and he joined the Army after the September 11th attacks.

He and his wife were only married 8 months at the time of his death.

Williams had just returned to Iraq from two weeks of leave before he was killed. The couple also had a son named Hunter, who was 2 and a half at the time of Williams death.

Williams is buried at Independence Cemetery.
