36 year old Specialist Michael Frank died May 13, 2007, in an attack in Baghdad.
Frank, of the HHC1-504 Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team 82nd Airborne, was killed when the Humvee he was riding in struck an improvised explosive device. Frank's family lives in Montana and Oregon but Frank was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
Frank grew up in a military family and joined straight out of high school in 1989. After his first tour of duty, Frank attended UC and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He re-enlisted in the Army about a year ago.
Frank is buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetary.
